About the Depot Club

The Depot Club & Restaurant, located on Bay Street in downtown Harbor Springs, is a private dining club. Reminiscent of the spirit of entrepreneurs and pioneers that developed the Little Traverse Bay area, the meticulous restoration of this treasured landmark adds a fresh new vibrancy and flare to the downtown waterfront district.

Upon entering the Depot, guests immediately feel as though they have been transported back to a bygone era. The main dining room – which seats up to 60 people and requires a sport coat during the summer season – is adorned with rich Damask wallpaper, walnut paneling, brass light fixtures, and vintage train locomotives. No expense was spared in the development of the Depot Club & Restaurant.

With Russell Miller in the kitchen, guests are treated to white glove service while enjoying culinary creations influenced by the rich flavors of Northern Michigan.

For a private party or for a more intimate dining experience, guests are invited to book a reservation in the Hemingway Dining Room, which pays homage to Nobel-prize winning author Ernest Hemingway who frequently passed through the depot throughout the early 20th Century en route to his many excursions in Northern Michigan. With seating for up to sixteen people, guests dining in the Hemingway Room will admire first edition Hemingway novels on display and artifacts harkening to a simpler time as America grew into a nation that would transform the world.

For a nightcap, guests can enjoy libations while sitting at the 14-seat granite bar tucked inside the main dining room. For guests who prefer a more relaxed setting, the Depot Club & Restaurant offers outdoor seating and a more casual lunch and dinner menu where members can “watch the world go by.”

Members are also invited to book the Depot for private events or for catering to their homes and yachts.
